My Full Fragrance Review:
As some of you may know, I hold a great deal of appreciation for the fragrance house, Lattafa. Their remarkable creations provide immense value-for-money, leaving us with scents that defy their price tags. However, every brand has its misfires, and unfortunately, Qimmah, my very first Lattafa perfume, falls into this category. It’s crucial to remember that even the most reputable brands have their weaker entries.
So, let’s delve into my review of Qimmah, keeping in mind that it doesn’t quite hit the same high notes as some of Lattafa’s best offerings.
Quick Facts:
Smell:
Let’s cut to the chase – Qimmah’s scent profile leaves much to be desired. It tends to lean on the sweet, synthetic side, culminating in a blend that isn’t particularly pleasant. Describing its aroma, I can’t help but envision a mishap in a chemistry lab where an array of different chemicals were mixed haphazardly. There’s a definite presence of Ambroxan, but in excess, coupled with an overwhelming sweetness and a cacophony of undefinable synthetics. It’s a tough sell to pinpoint when and where this perfume would be the ideal choice.
Longevity:
Qimmah’s longevity is a mixed bag. On the positive side, it exhibits average staying power, remaining discernible for a good few hours. It also projects quite strongly, ensuring that your presence will be noticed. However, considering its less than favorable scent profile, this strength in projection isn’t necessarily a good thing. It’s akin to a loudspeaker blasting a tune that’s not everyone’s favorite.
