So, today I’m reviewing one of the most iconic and well-known men’s fragrances out there: Terre d’Hermès from Hermès. You’ve probably heard of it, and with good reason. Terre d’Hermès is available in both Eau de Toilette and Parfum concentrations, and I’ll be focusing on the Parfum version for this review. Let’s dive in!
Quick Facts:
Smell:
When you hear the name Terre d’Hermès, sophistication and class come to mind. This fragrance is THE office scent for the successful senior manager who’s used to giving orders. It’s a dry, woody, and slightly citric fragrance that exudes power and masculinity.
In comparison to other popular office scents, Terre d’Hermès lacks sweetness, which further emphasizes the seriousness and influence of the wearer. I mean, why should a managing director need a playful, sweet fragrance? They’re the ones in charge, after all.
To me, this scent is reminiscent of a successful car dealer who sells brand new cars. Picture this guy: he wears expensive shoes, sports a Rolex, and radiates charisma and extroversion. That’s the essence of Terre d’Hermès, the fragrance of money, power, and success.
Keep in mind, though, that this fragrance isn’t for the younger crowd. If you’re under 40, you might want to steer clear. However, for the mature guy, this versatile scent can work not only in the office but also on a date. I’m sure, there are plenty of women who appreciate a mature and sophisticated fragrance.
Longevity:
Now let’s talk about performance. Terre d’Hermès Parfum outlasts most other office fragrances out there. It’s known for being a long-lasting scent that will carry you through the workday and beyond.
