Turathi Blue (Afnan)

Today, I’m going to review a surprisingly affordable “blue” type fragrance that caught my attention recently: Turathi Blue by Afnan. Released in 2021, this perfume comes from the UAE-based house Afnan. Man, the more and more I’m wearing it, the more this fragrance is growing on me. So, let’s dive in and see what Turathi Blue has to offer.

Quick Facts:

  • Scent Profile: citrus, woody, oriental
  • Season: all-seasons
  • Longevity: average
  • Occasion: versatile
  • Price: $

Smell:

Turathi Blue belongs to the “blue” style of fragrances, which means it’s versatile, crowd-pleasing, and easy to wear. So, what does it actually smell like? Well, at first, it starts off woody and slightly citrusy, reminding me of Blue de Chanel EdP. After around 30 minutes, the citrus notes fade, making room for some slightly oriental vibes. It still keeps you thinking of that Chanel classic, though.

Who and when to wear this fragrance, you ask? Well, pretty much any guy can pull this off in any occasion. Office, dating, hanging out with friends – all not a problem. Plus, you can wear this fragrance all-year round, making it an excellent addition to your collection.

Longevity:

In terms of longevity, there’s nothing exceptional to report here. Turathi Blue performs like other well-known blue fragrances. So, it’s neither exceptionally short-lived nor remarkably long-lasting. It does the job, and for the price, I’m not complaining.

Final Thoughts:

In my review, Afnan’s Turathi Blue offers a fantastic and affordable “blue fragrance” that’s easy to wear and like. I paid around 25€ (2023) for my 100ml bottle, which I consider a great deal. Now, I usually avoid reviewing clones, and Turathi Blue does come dangerously close to Bleu de Chanel. Sometimes it’s tough to say if a fragrance is a clone or just inspired. However, I feel Turathi Blue is similar enough to draw comparisons but different enough to stand on its own.

If you’re looking for a wallet-friendly, versatile scent that reminds you of a popular classic, give Turathi Blue a shot.
