My Full Fragrance Review:
I’ve spent quite some time exploring the fragrance world, and among the brands I’ve delved into, Lattafa has been a pleasant surprise. I’ve had the opportunity to test a number of their offerings, many of which offer truly remarkable value-for-money. Now, it’s time to share my opinion on one of their men’s perfumes, the Eternal Oud.
But before we dive into the review, let’s take a moment to appreciate the packaging. The bottle design is, in my humble opinion, rather stylish. Considering Lattafa’s commitment to affordability, the sophistication of the bottle is incredible.
Quick Facts:
Smell:
Eternal Oud is an alluring mixture of warmth, sensuality, and an inviting charm. With amber as its core note, the scent is decidedly sweet. This richness and warmth define it as a quintessential winter fragrance. It would be too overpowering for a summer’s day, but in the crisp cold of winter, it’s a comforting aroma that envelops you.
Here’s the thing: the Eternal Oud smells fantastic. When you factor in the price point, it smells even better. But if you’re a bit of a perfume connoisseur, it may remind you of another fragrance: the renowned Grand Soir from Maison Francis Kurkdijan. It’s one of the finest amber fragrances out there, and the similarity is indeed uncanny.
You might ask, which is better? Well, having sampled both, I can say that while Grand Soir is superior when smelled side by side, that’s not to say that Eternal Oud falls short. It still holds its own admirably.
Longevity:
The natural next question is: how long does it last? For sweet, winter fragrances, the norm is quite long-lasting, and Eternal Oud stays true to this. It might not be a beast in terms of longevity, but it offers a decent performance. It’s a scent that will linger around you for a good amount of time, making it a fitting choice for a romantic date.
