Hey guys, I bet if you were to walk into any German men’s bathroom, you’d probably spot two fragrances sitting there – and one of them would be Cool Water from Davidoff. Even though this fragrance has been on the market for quite some time, it’s still a favorite among many men. One reason it’s so popular is definitely its affordable price point, so let’s dive in and see what’s so cool about Cool Water.
Quick Facts:
Smell:
When it comes to the scent, Cool Water couldn’t have a more fitting name. It’s got this fresh, slightly aquatic vibe, like you’re the only person taking a dip in a crystal-clear lake just after sunrise. The water’s freezing, but when you step out, you feel awake, strong, and refreshed. That’s Cool Water in a nutshell.
I won’t lie, the smell is pretty nice, and it was definitely a game-changer when it first hit the market. However, these days, the scent profile seems a bit too familiar, reminding me of a high-quality laundry detergent. So, who’s Cool Water for? If you’re a traditional, manly guy, this one’s for you – it’s a 100% masculine fragrance without any sweet or fruity undertones.
You can rock Cool Water at the office or during your downtime, especially in the summer. But I wouldn’t recommend wearing it on a date or to a nightclub, as it’s a bit too basic for those occasions.
Longevity:
Surprisingly, for such a fresh scent, Cool Water performs quite well. I get around 6 hours out of it, which isn’t too shabby. Out of the Cool Water series, the original EdT is a top performer, only coming in second to the Cool Water Intense version.
