Al Qiam Silver (Lattafa)

My Full Fragrance Review:

Today’s review is about yet another fragrance from the house of Lattafa. Al Qiam Silver is a summer delight with the sprightly whiff of fresh grapefruit. After the I’ve been blown away lately by an earlier release called Maahir Legacy, my expectations are pretty high for Al Qiam Silver too. Let’s see if Lattafa is up for the task!

Quick Facts:

  • Scent Profile: citrus, fresh
  • Season: summer
  • Longevity: shorter than average
  • Occasion: dating, office, leisure time
  • Price: $

Smell:

Let’s talk about the smell first, because that’s the soul of any perfume. Al Qiam Silver is a straightforward scent, designed for the sweltering heat of summer days. It’s incredibly fresh and refreshing! The dominant notes here are zesty grapefruit and a spicy touch of ginger, complemented by plenty of Ambroxan to add an element of crispness.

The fragrance seems to draw inspiration from the fabulous Tygar from Bvlgari, one of my absolute summer Top Picks. It’s an audacious endeavor, but does Al Qiam Silver live up to Tygar? Well, they are similar, but there are notable distinctions. Tygar wins in terms of being fruitier, fresher, and overall more refined. Al Qiam Silver, on the other hand, has an almost herbal undertone that, in my opinion, could have been left out. Plus, Tygar stands out with its stronger potency.

Where can you sport Al Qiam Silver, you ask? My advice is – as long as it’s a daytime event, feel free to rock it with any outfit, in any situation.

Longevity:

Moving onto longevity, Al Qiam Silver stays on your skin for about 4 hours. As a fresh, citrusy fragrance, it’s in the same longevity ballpark as most summer scents. While it could certainly do with a bit more staying power, it’s still reasonable for a perfume in its category. However, I wished it would be stronger projecting. Or even be stronger in general. For my liking, Al Qiam Silver is not potent enough.

Final Thoughts:

So, what’s the final verdict? If you’re in the market for a solid, budget-friendly summer fragrance, then Al Qiam Silver is a choice you can’t ignore. It delivers a pleasant aroma with a few minor tweaks that could take it up a notch.

However, if you’re after the best of the best in summer fragrances, you might want to opt for Tygar by Bvlgari, one of my personal favorites. But remember, everyone’s olfactory preferences are different. If you are a grapefruit aficionado, do give Light Blue Forever by Dolce & Gabbana a try.

In the end, my review is here to guide you, but your personal preference is the deciding factor. Enjoy exploring these fragrances and stay smelling fantastic!
