Hey there, fellow fragrance enthusiasts! Today, I’ll be reviewing Acqua di Giò Profondo from Armani, which is another flanker in the evergreen Acqua di Giò series. This particular release aims to modernize the line by incorporating new, popular notes into the DNA.
Quick Facts:
Smell:
Acqua di Giò Profondo is Armani’s answer to the increasingly popular “blue” fragrances on the market. In a nutshell, it combines the well-known Acqua di Giò DNA of the original with those modern blue notes that are all the rage these days. The outcome is a fresh, aquatic, and citric men’s summer fragrance with some contemporary vibes to it.
With the addition of blue notes, Acqua di Giò Profondo feels more modern than the original but also a bit more interchangeable. The original does stand out more, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that Profondo is a pleasant summer scent that’s easy to wear and quite versatile.
Longevity:
When it comes to longevity, Acqua di Giò Profondo outperforms the original, which is a nice surprise. The flanker sits comfortably around the average mark when it comes to performance, which is totally fine in my book. One thing to note is that Profondo has a stronger smell, giving it a bit more presence.
