Hey guys, have you ever tried a fragrance that seems to change its scent depending on your mood and surroundings? That’s exactly how I felt when I tried Pegasus from Parfums de Marly. This men’s fragrance has gained quite a following, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on it for a steal from a friend. Today, I decided to pen down a review.
Now, I have to admit that Pegasus isn’t necessarily my go-to scent. I’ve only worn it a few times myself. However, I still think it’s important to share my perspective and experiences with other fragrances to help you make an informed decision about whether or not Pegasus might be right for you. So, let’s dive into this review and see what Pegasus has to offer!
Quick Facts:
Smell:
Let’s talk about the smell of Pegasus from Parfums de Marly. For me, this fragrance has two distinct associations. The first is that it smells like vanilla crescents with a hint of almond, which is a rare and pleasant experience. However, more often than not, I get a whiff of what I can only describe as the scent of old metal – like a rusty metal bar. To be honest, I’m not a fan of that particular scent, and I certainly don’t want to smell like it.
While Pegasus is definitely a unique fragrance, I find the old metal smell to be kind of unpleasant. That being said, I do think that this fragrance is best suited for the winter season. It’s not really an office scent, but it can be worn on a date. I feel this is also not a good nightlife fragrance, as it does lack the power and sweetness required. Overall, I think Pegasus is an interesting fragrance that might appeal to some, but it’s not my personal favorite.
Longevity:
Let’s talk about the longevity of Pegasus from Parfums de Marly. In my experience, this fragrance has a pretty decent lifespan. As a winter fragrance, it performs fairly average in terms of longevity, but it’s definitely long enough to get you through a night out or a special occasion.
