Instead, Oud Wood is the epitome of understatement, commanding but not attention-seeking, hinting at an aura of maturity and authority.
In my opinion, this scent would best suit a mature man, perhaps someone who is consistently well-dressed, grounded, and emanates a serious demeanor. Oud Wood shines in the mild temperatures of spring and autumn, and while it might lack the intensity to assert itself in the frigid winter air, it can still hold its own with its warm woody notes.
Longevity:
Considering its composition of generally heavy and lasting notes, you might anticipate Oud Wood to have an impressive lifespan. However, in my experience, this isn’t the case. It does endure for a considerable number of hours, offering a consistent presence without becoming too overpowering, but it isn’t one of those fragrances that linger on your skin or clothes until the next day. That’s not necessarily a flaw, but something to keep in mind.
