Ombré Leather from Tom Ford – hands down, one of the best leather fragrances currently on the market. Whenever someone asks me for a leather fragrance recommendation, this one’s always at the top of my list. Just a heads up, Ombré Leather comes in two different concentrations – Eau de Parfum and Parfum – and they have significant differences in scent.
Quick Facts:
Smell:
As you might’ve guessed, Ombré Leather is a leather-focused scent. But let me tell you, it’s way smoother than Tom Ford’s Tuscan Leather, so definitely go for Ombré Leather if you’re choosing between the two. Now, about those concentrations:
- Eau de Parfum: Here, the leather is strong, with a decent sweetness and subtle floral notes to round it off. It’s the kind of scent that brings to mind a rugged cowboy in leather riding a horse outdoors. Perfect for those who want to make a statement and have a bolder personality.
- Parfum: The Parfum version is softer on the leather, with a more balanced blend and rounded edges. It’s a tad sweeter and more floral, but still a solid men’s leather fragrance. Picture a young, stylish guy (like me, haha) rocking a red leather jacket in the city. This one’s great for a more urban, versatile vibe.
In which season should this be worn? Ombré Leather is best for moderate temperatures you encounter during spring and autumn.
Longevity:
Both versions of Ombré Leather last a good while, thanks to the leather note’s natural longevity. The Eau de Parfum has a stronger leather scent, making it last a bit longer than the Parfum, but both still perform well.
