Hey, guys! You probably already know that La Nuit de L’Homme from 2009 is one of the best smelling men’s fragrances out there. But let’s face it, the newer reformulations have weak performance. Yves Saint Laurent (YSL) heard us and introduced La Nuit de L’Homme Bleu Électrique, a flanker in its lineup. So, let’s dive in and check the differences and what Bleu Électrique does better.
Quick Facts:
Smell:
La Nuit de L’Homme Bleu Électrique from YSL has that same super sophisticated and sexy oriental scent profile that you already love in La Nuit de L’Homme. It’s one of the smoothest blends of different spices on the market, with cardamom being the centerpiece. Unlike other oriental fragrances, it’s never too heavy or cloying and is very wearable in the Western world. The Bleu Électrique flanker adds some subtle fresh “blue” notes to the mix, making it slightly easier to wear outside of a dating situation and more versatile. But don’t worry, it’s still a killer fragrance on dates.
Longevity:
Now let’s talk about the main reason why I think this flanker stands out: performance. La Nuit de L’Homme Bleu Électrique performs well and is now on the level of other common winter fragrances. It’s a lot more potent than the original La Nuit de L’Homme, which is great because the longevity was the biggest criticism point of the fragrance.
