Wow! What a sensation Gucci unleashed with its Intense Oud fragrance. In my opinion, it’s indisputably one of the superior designer winter fragrances gracing the market. My first encounter with this fragrance was on a trip to Istanbul in May 2023, thanks to a knowledgeable local perfume store employee who recommended it. Needless to say, I was so captivated that Gucci Intense Oud found a permanent spot in my collection. Let’s dive straight into the review, shall we?

When it comes to smell, Gucci Intense Oud is a knockout. From the first spritz, you’re enveloped in a divine, distinctive aura that screams designer quality. This fragrance artfully hinges on oud, a rare, intense, and somewhat animalistic wood. Its potency might be daunting, even off-putting to some, especially those unaccustomed to its barnyard reminiscent vibe. But therein lies the real test: crafting an oud-based fragrance that’s wearable. And Gucci masters this art impeccably.
The secret? A playful dance of floral roses and fruity raspberry notes, lacing the robust oud with a gentle air of sweetness and light. It’s this Oud-Rose-Raspberry trifecta that sets Gucci Intense Oud apart: potent oud notes, mellowed by the ethereal whispers of roses, and a dash of raspberry’s fruity sweetness. Longevity:
Gucci Intense Oud’s longevity is commendable. While it doesn’t quite reach the beast-mode performance of a raspberry-oud combo like Louis Vuitton’s Ombre Nomade, it does hold its own quite well. You won’t be reaching for that bottle every few hours, I can assure you.
