Club de Nuit Intense Man (Armaf)

We should talk about Club de Nuit Intense Man from Armaf. Now, you might have heard people often refer to this one as an affordable alternative to the famous Aventus by Creed. I mean, who wouldn’t want an affordable alternative to that powerhouse, right? But before we dive into the review, let’s set the record straight.

Comparison: Creed Aventus vs Armaf CDNMI

Quick Facts:

  • Scent Profile: citrus, smokey
  • Season: all-seasons
  • Longevity: long-lasting
  • Occasion: dating, nightlife
  • Price: $

Smell:

Alright, so let’s get this out of the way: Club de Nuit Intense Man isn’t a clone of Aventus. Yes, they share some notes and belong to the same fragrance category, but they are not the same fragrances. Trust me, I’ve tried both.

Club de Nuit Intense Man kicks off with a harsh, unpleasant lemon note that lasts for roughly 45 minutes. It’s really smoky, and it does get better once that lemon starts to fade. But at no point does it resemble Aventus.

Now, here’s some good news: Club de Nuit Intense Man comes in a higher concentrated EdP and Parfum version. The Parfum version, in particular, is a game-changer. It’s far less harsh and doesn’t have that toilet cleaner vibe. In fact, I’d say the Parfum concentration is a pretty nice, versatile fragrance. The standard EdT, on the other hand, doesn’t quite do it for me.

Longevity:

When it comes to performance, Club de Nuit Intense Man really shines. It lasts longer than many other fragrances in its category, which is a plus. Just be aware that with the EdT, you might annoy some people around you in the first 45 minutes due to its harsh opening. You might want to consider to limit the number of sprays.

Final Thoughts:

So, is Club de Nuit Intense Man a clone of Aventus? Nope, sorry, guys. It’s its own fragrance that just happens to operate in the same “Aventus-style” category.

The EdT is a solid fragrance with great value-for-money if you can overlook that first 45 minutes. However, I highly recommend the Parfum version over the EdT because of its smoother opening and overall better scent.

But there’s a catch – the Parfum version costs almost double the price of the EdT. So, it’s up to you to decide if the improved experience is worth the extra money.
